cat stevens '71Cat Stevens the performer is what this video is about. The deal with Islam and such has nothing to do with this. No religious beliefs are perfect, you must use your own mind and creativity. Religion is a guidance not a law in which to punish and hate. Rock on my brothers and sistas from around the world...
Mohammed Ali, Germaine Jackson, Goethe, coustou...

Said Stevens: "I was trying to relate to my life. I was at the point where it was beginning to happen and I was myself going into the world. I'd done my career before, and I was sort of warning myself to be careful this time around, because it was happening. It was not me writing about somebody specific, although other people may have informed the song, but it was more about me. It's talking about losing touch with home and reality - home especially."

Stevens wrote this about searching for peace and happiness in a crazy world. There was some speculation that much of the song was a message to Patti D'Arbanville, an actress he had been dating. Stevens cleared this up when he spoke about the song on The Chris Isaak Hour in 2009.

There's something about this person as if "I'm honest" is written all over his forehead.

This is an absolutely beautiful song. However, the studio version I have on a CD starts with a keyboard and guitar, not like these live versions that feature all this cringe-making la-la-la-ing. Still, whatever grabs you I guess but I do love the song.

sorry dude, but this is pure bullshit.. islamic religion has nothing against music, like all the other religions.. if the music doesnt insult the religion, there isn't any problem.. so be cool
