If you have the chance, you should listen to Alvaro Pierri's interpretation, according to me is one of the bests I've heard of Villa-Lobos' pieces.

I had the same idea before I checked the intonation and realized it was speeded up. So hard to judge at all. Besides she's so great on records so hard to believe she would mess this up so badly. More likely it's bad quality tape..
