i think it's more like simultaneous notes, the arpeggio isn't very clear. So it can be executed easier. but it didnt thought to perform it that way hehepretty nice vid

ichbineintoober(June 19, 2009 at 2:02 pm)
Oh my gosh itz like a bunch of rabbis bitching in here.Just relax and enjoy the music. Speaking of rabbis, I just remembered, Mr Bream looks just about exactly like Paul Burnley.Anyhoo, howdy to the rest of you in the wolf houses out there.BTW see 2:57 to 3:15. That shit will get you killed.

Are you afraid or parallel motion?, you didnt learned that on school?, music has changed since those time. It that quote of tarrega is true, the he reveals that he was a very limited musician, spanish thinks that they are the center of the guitar world (like segovia) , but they are no more.
kowalsky111(June 16, 2009 at 8:17 am)
so wh<y are you saying that "englishman" stuff?
thedevoll(June 16, 2009 at 1:53 am)
I disagree a bit.For me Villa Lobos is not "spanish and latin" but a musicians musician .He is appreciated more by musicians than the public, and that says it all. Some of his music (including the small prelude 4 )is genius ,universal ,educational, competitive, artistic, and classical. What European music you mention? Not the insignificant 15th century English lute niarniar that Bream preferred to play I hope.Anyways I'm not going to argue for it , but I think this arpeggio here was awful.
kowalsky111(June 15, 2009 at 11:10 am)
i also don't like bream playing spanish and latin music, but hear him playing european music and you can't say that anymore
cga2000(June 13, 2009 at 4:38 pm)
I wonder what he would have had to say about Xuefei Yang and her Japanese made guitars. Spain has not really produced a great guitarist since Andres Segovia. Irrelevant anyway, this is more a problem of Villa Lobos sounding a little too much like John Dowland. But that's probably less of an issue than playing it like it were a flamenco piece.
thedevoll(June 13, 2009 at 6:03 am)
It was Fransisco Tarrega who said.."the guitar at the hands of an Englishman is almost a blasphemy"..and after hearing thisprelude No 4 in here ,I understand why he said it.
