I was 19 at that time and saw that performance, it was my first Rush concert. This was the last performance of the European tour in 1979.Alex Lefeson hurt his finger because he had a very wild night with his wife, his finger came between the mattress and the bed.Info came from: Tjerk Lammers, he was there press manager from WEA record company at that time.
lol I think he means the opening classical guitar solo on the studio version:)

I wonder if Rush owns the rights to this video, they are extremely guarded when it comes to their material?

Thanks , I didn't know that. I did not see the varitone at first. Trapeze tail piece as well. Just a fantastic sound. I always wished I has his sound. Alex and Buck Dharma were my favs. Thanks again

Its a 345. Has the varitone switch. He still has it.
myway43(July 6, 2009 at 2:17 am)
I wonder if Alex still has this 335? Such an awsome sounding guitar. I needs me a 335!

Rush has consistantley put out great records since their inception. They are still a main concert draw to this day. Dream theater is good, no doubt, but I'll bet you dollars to pesos you put on Dream Theaters biggest hit, and most folks will not recognize it. Put on Tom Sawyer, Spirit of Radio, or Freewill and they immediatley recognize it. A world wiothout Rush would be an ugly world indeed.
