I think the drought there really needs the help from people outside the country. For example, in the short term, food supply and water; in the long term, seeds for planting for the next harvest.

My dad works for the UN and does work for UNICEF and he actually went to do some work in Kenya during this drought.

After watching this, I've realized how much poverty there is in Africa. You don't need to be famous and have a huge house to be rich. As long as you have food, shelter, and clothing, you're rich. These people don't have enough to survive. This is so sad. There's no such thing as poor people in America. Only is Africa there's so much poverty. :( I feel like crying, I'm so guilty! Wanting this and that after I'm already lucky enough to have a family and roof over my head and bread on the table.

It's so sad... Even if they're black and some of us are white, it doesn't matter (not being racist) These are all our brothers and sister, god created them. If every preson would die we would have less and less family. Even my neighbor who I never knew had been taken away to a hostpitak because she passed away, I cried. It's so sad seeing your family die like that. I know they're not the most important people in your life, but what god created, we need to take care of.

It feels so good to write from the comfort of our homes and make a judgement. the government has to do something, rich and famous have to, I hate this and that about this people cause they dont help, its always about someone else. we are very rich compared to this people, we dont need to be in a magazine to be selfish, ignorant or hipocrits, mattboy88 why dont you go teach those dummies from the unicef, cause you seem to have it all figured out. i am also a disgusting parasite in this society.

If they start digging one pond and then dig another one and make a whole interconnected ring of ponds. They could dig out the center, eventually, thereby creating a small lake. From there a river could be dug to bring water to other parts of the land.This way, it will be more fertile and keeping a livestock will become more feasible. We keep them giving our help which is fine, but the real problem is environmental, and not unsolvable. In short: don't help them, but help them help themselves.
