@ system2chaosEverybody dies alone, he knew what he was getting himself into.Why the need to share it with someone? There are those who don't really need other people around them, and he was one of those people. It was all about returning to nature, not being around a made-up society

Dear system2chaos..... i guess the guy was more on a spiritual journey than on an adventure. He simply wanted to find himself. To a great extend he did because his soul was for the wild and freedom, but his body was a product of civilisation and protection....may be in his death he was happy who knows coz i am pretty sure that he would have gotten answer to his spiritual questions even after living in the wild in Alaska. But i truely admire him. Some beautiful things just burn out too fast.

and just for the record ,, i do respect alexander and i dont jugde him for what he did . he lived his life the way HE wanted the only thing im sorry of is that he died alone,,, its heartbreaking that a man dies of starvasion alone in the wilderness , thats a sad and cruel end. can you imagine the thoughts he must have had.when he realized that he is going to die alone.. compleetly alone..poor man

i saw this movie yesterday and its breathtaking, along as the movie progresed i had a joyfull filling that I to whanted to go to ALASKA and exspirence the great ootdoors, but you gotta have someone to share it with, and it dosent matter who it it is, it could be a stranger or a good friend it really dosent matter as just as long you share your moments with someone otherwise its pointless

Of course they would LET me... but they would also suffer. The question is, am I brave enough to live for anyone beside myself? Or shall I just follow my heart? I truly don't think there's right or wrong here, it's just a matter of choices... I respect his choice, but I couldn't give up on people like that...
