How I became an opera singer-Franco Tenelli

From Engineer and Jazz Guitarist to an Opera Singer.In this interview I tell the story of how I started my operatic career.I was born in a family of opera singers.My father was a liric tenor and my mother a dramatic soprano. When I was about 6 years old I happened to listen to Caruso's recording: it was "Oh Souvereign" from 'El Cid", his sound captivated me and since then I was a huge fan of Great Neapolitan.Little later, when I was 9 years old, I started singing some arias and neapolitan songs. At the age of 13(Puberty) I lost my voice and became a fanatic of a guitar.I was basicly self-taught but was playing 8 hours per day mastering my tecknique.I had quite week nails so my dream of becoming a classical concert guitarist was fading but luckily I heard Jimmy Hendrix and new passion was born. He was (he is) really good jazz-fusion guitarist,composer and obviously great opera singer.Very talented man indeed.

I agree, but he is Georgian, which is like saying to a Welsh he is English or to Japanese he is Chinese.Georgia was occupied by Russia in XIX Century by the pretext of helping their Ordodox brothers. Ethnicly and linguisticly Russians and Georgians are totaly different.Georgians have an original Alphabeth and Russians Cirilic(Bulgarian) that comes of combination of Greek and Latin.Georgia is independant country
