My comments were basically directed at the fundamental ability of the pilots, not on the aircraft.Whilst I fully appreciate the Su-27 is a totally different plane to fly. That said, the general standard of airmanship is (IMHO) below that of the Royal Air Force 'Red Arrows'.Remember prospective Red Arrow pilots are chosen from squadrons within the RAF, and only stay for three years, before returning to other operational duties.

The Red Arrows are flying a significantly smaller and lighter airplane. The Su-27 is designed for air superiority, not for airshow display, unlike the hawk, which is among others a trainer aircraft and light to handle. I've seen both display teams and they both are impressive in their own terms.

привет,Quite an impressive display must say, but comes nowhere near the aerobatic display of the Royal Air Force 'Red Arrows' team. IMHO I'd say more like the standard of the 'Blue Angles' Really missing those difficult formation changes etc, and the precision the 'Reds' have.

Hate to answer late, but here's a REAL answer. The Blue Angels don't wear G-Suits because the F/A-18 has a center-mounted stick that can be obstructed by the inflating of a G-suit. The Thunderbirds, with a side-mounted stick, use G-suits. I'm not sure whether or not these teams use G-suits, but the issue here is not the aircraft. Not sure if you can see it, but they are moving around incredibly unsafe distances while in formation. The Strizhi more than the Knights. It's just poor training.

As you know, characters on MiG-29 and Su-27family do differ slightly even of its mass. Therefre I think they do not perform as near as possible, but near as necessary. Looks fine when seen in sky already, or, what you think?

That's impressive, two teams performing together. But these guys don't seem to fly as tight formations as their western counterparts. Maybe it's because they wear G suits? I know the Blue Angels don't wear them so they can fly closer together.
