Because "Space paintings" Are beautiful, capture the imagination, colorful, and they SELL. There is no need to be a starving artist. I am sure he has art he keeps for himself, or may give as gifts, that may not be as appealing to a "Possible customer" that is more specific, and personalized for an indivdual. Like if he did the front of a Ford truck, I am sure people that love Chevy would hate it. Creating art, and getting to put food on the table at the same time, is most persons dream. :-)
