my cat also does the 'running towards the kitchen' scene, if i don't follow her, she runs at high speed back into the lounge and tries to claw the arms of my NEW sofa-eek-that gets me moving!

That is my cat he gets on top of whatever youre sitting on and purrs and waves himself in your face its annoying but really cute =D
