For your information, Silat was an ancient martial arts practice by most of Asians in South East... the TRUE Silat is far greater than Kung Fu and other martial arts.. This video is just about a competition.. but The TRUE Silat masters can even gather spiritual energy that can cause fatal to the opponent by just attacking from a distance without touching the person... I've seen it..So, pls don't talk like u know everything riopieboy...

This seems like a pretty pathetic martial art.Someone tell me why it isn't and also wtf your man at 0:44 is doing with his back to his oponent. Is this a demo or a real match? Is it judged on how pretty you fight? Fighting isn't meant to look good, it's meant to effectively eliminate enemy threats.WTF is this shit?

P.S. Silat looks nothing like TKD... Not a thing like it.. you can comapre the fact that they kick and punch but that's about it..Silat looks more like Wang Chung Kung Fu than anything..(Which is why you see FLOWERY movements..

Silat masters can subdue you without even touching you.. silats origins are from Shao Lin/Chi Kung in China...Keep in mind that tournaments require you to compete in a way that is not conducive to street fighting. MMA is much more conducive to street fighting because of BJJ and submission wrestling alone.. Not to mention Moi Thai and other striking techniques..
