Obama hails from Illinois, the most corrupt state in our Union (just think, Rod Blagojevich!). Rahm Emmanuel was hand-picked by Mayor Daley (indictsment pending). David Axelrod. Daley machine mouthpiece. Corruption? Criminal activity? Folks, as a lifelong resident of Illinois I know, you ain't seen nothing yet!

The bombing of the Communist bases in Cambodia did not prolong or expand the war. It was necessary to use the threat and exercise of force to get the Communists to negotiate for peace. A peace agreement was the right way to end the war. But the Communist were less likely to agree to a peace when their secret bases in Cambodia gave them the ability to attack South Vietnam at will.

Of course, it is not reasonable to allow your enemy to have a safe haven from which they can launch military attacks. This is essentially what they did with Cambodia. So we responded militarily, and were completely justified in doing so, by bombing these bases in Cambodia to drive out the Communists and deny them their sanctuaries.

Casualties did not increase ten fold. US casualties decreased during the Nixon administration and became some of the lowest since the start of the war. The war was spread to Cambodia by the Communists. The country was neutral, but the Northern Communists infiltrated Cambodia and began using its territory. They established military bases in the country and used it to transport troops and weapons into South Vietnam. Or course, it is reasonable at all to allow your enemy, during a time of war

"People who don't understand the difficulties of this era, the burden of leading our nation through a divisive war"I believe one of the promises he made during his campaign was to stop the war, but instead it spread to Cambodia and the casualties increased ten-fold. Plus, you believe nothing's wrong with breaking into the DNC headquarters? And if he didn't know about the men's actions, why not report them when he found out? He's the president, he should be a role-model to his citizens.

I agree. It's a very good example that Watergate was mostly about politics and not criminal activity.
