Actually...the drive from Riverside to Concord is about 7 hours. It's also a common misconception that RCC and BD have the same musicians/staff. Members of the RCC drumline have marched with BD, SCV, Cadets, Pacific Crest, Yamato, among many other corps. Also, there are only three staff members that instruct both, the RCC Marching Band and Blue Devils. (Wayne Downey - brass, Sean Vega - battery, Jim Wunderlich - pit). Some former common instructors include Scott Johnson and Roger Carter.

Riverside is anout a half an hour away from concord california where the Blue Devils reside from. RCC drumline is the blue devils drumline. They have all the same staff members as the bluedevils do.
