I used to watch this after school.I liked it! Just because the cardboard cut out one was the original doesn't mean this one sucks. I was the age group it was aimed at back then, and I liked it, as I said.

Its a total urban myth that the characters had sexual innuendo names, including the part about Pugwash being Australian for blow job, which it certainly is not. Look it up at the snopes website....

Just read an old comment about a jester and a king... that's probably King Rollo.And the original was cardboard cut-outs, not cel-animated.The 'funny' names were a fabrication, which people refuse to drop because they love a good urban myth, and/or something to insist upon ad nauseum, despite having absolutely nothing to back it up with apart from some internet-enhanced fallacy. I watched the original when I was a kid; the more innocent sounding names are the correct ones.

you know why I swear? because I grew up watching this kinda stuff with subliminal tones and references. do you think the bosses at the BBC were concerned that children might be watching when they gave the characters of this show the names they have? Think about that before you cast judgement from your self imposed position of authority. Master Mate, Willy, etc. The sexual references would never meet standards nowadays. You say Moron..I say BOLLOCKS!

Can't comment on the Australian word for a blow job, but the rest of it? URBAN LEGEND. Look it up, you have internet access - it's easy enough to confirm.
