most music styles have a shelf life and are usually best at the start. The best reggae and rap is behind us. One of the biggest reasons is bands aren't trying to be original or political. They're just going for short term gain, not development. Great music is not about conforming, its about leadership. Its also about education, despite people' fantasies that its all about raw luck and talent.Early rap educated itself, and Chuck D was clearly educated. Modern rap is base and unoriginal.

real hip hop is still alive the only reason its dieing is becuz of the hype radio, magazines and stuff now its cool to use auto-tune which back in the 90's it wouldnt be shit also R&b takes over the radios now power 106 where hip hop lives my ass they barely play hip hop on that station and if a real song 2 be played on radio they only play it once in 5 months and if artists want 2 put real song on radio like for a lot like t.i. they have 2 put hot r&b artist like rihanna becuz imagin live ur li
