Not all black people have to support same sex marriage. Stop pretending that black people only care about their self interest. Black denial has nothing to do same sex marriage. Your opinion is ignorant and offensive. In the US, there is nothing worse than white guilt.

Who do you know that is black and denies that gay rights are not a civil right? Who do you know that is black and says that oppression is only known by black people? What does non-violent protest or segregation have to do same sex marriage? You do not know what black denial is. Black people do not oppose gay rights. Slaves had no rights, and they were not even considered people. I am pretty sure gays have rights and are considered people.

For those who are black and claim "gay rights" are not a "civil right," that oppression is only known by blacks in America, I wish to state: know your own history and have your community put down their guns and pick up a book.Bayard Rustin, a black GAY man, introduced the concept of non-violent protest to Martin Luther King and it resulted in the end segregation.Deny "gay rights" and deny your own "civil rights." I keep hearing about "white guilt" but "black denial" is far worse.

Does not take too much thought to figure out the comparison concerning slavery.Can't you see they are happy, what more do the slaves want? I even like a few of them.For those who hate and hide behind religion, remember it worked really well with slavery.Thankfully...some people decided to speak out in protest. He obviously only cares about his perspective. He is the worst actor I have ever seen. He is biased and always has been. He does compare the issue to slavery. He lied by saying that gay marriage does not effect people who support prop 8. Those people obviously disagree for good reasons. He does not mention those reasons, because he is biased. He just says that those people are failing to honor God.

I love how his opening statement explains how he has no personal investment. Explain how it's biased. And he didn't compare it to slavery, he was making a statement. This isn't the first time the US has redifined marriage.Way to pick and choose. How cliche.

Christians do not want to deny anyone happiness. They love gay people. There are gay Christians. Their perspective should be respected.

God isn't against happiness. Only mean spirited people who use their own selective interpretation of books like the Bible seem to be against someone else's happiness. Seems like so many "Christians" are very unlike their Christ.
