My first time seeing this performance. It's one thing to hear Jimi's recordings, but to see him perform is just so much more complete. It saddens me to think of how much playing he still had in him.

Man, I love Jimi. He seems to be so excited at this show, being his american debut after becoming a star. It's easy to see why he had the most legendary performance, he just killed it

He was voted the best rock guitarist. I don't give a F@#$ where his thumb is. What are you so good at anyway?

I got lucky Kitt, when I was 12, my Mom dropped me and a friend off at the local library on a friday night for "Film nite".(1971)...little did she know they were playing "Monterey Pop". My life changed at this point when I saw Jimi play and go through all his antics. I probably had the same look on my face as the girl at the end of "Wild Thing", also on this site!

I never really"got" him until I saw this. Thanks so much. It's truly amazing to see his genius.

Oh man! i hope heaven can match this. Hendrix has his guitar pluged to his soul. I don´t believe what i see, it´s impossible. Mitch and Noel are his perfect companions too the band is clockwork.
