I agree. It must be irriating being the first African American (no his carribean!) to break through as a star, to be questioned on every aspect of advancement on race relations in America! Poitier is a cool guy though.

FYI Mr. Poitier IS American born, he was born in Miami Fla. By Poitier's own account, he was born in Miami, Florida but spent his childhood in Cat Island, Bahamas and later moved back to the United States in 1943 at age 15.
