Always kinda liked Dale Hunter but here he clearly lost his wits. The suspension given to him at the time was well deserved.

So I guess you say it's ok to deck someone from behind to "pump" up your team to score 4 unanswered goals as was the Caps case in this gmae, but they came up a bit short 5-3. Compared to Ovechkin, Crosby, and the NFL's Terell Owens, this was NOTHING close to hot dogging.

That's not hot dogging at all. He was simply celebrating a goal scored on a TURNOVER by Hunter. Guys like Alex Ovechkin and Sidney Crosby are guys who can be over zealous in celebrations, even guys like Terell Owens- THAT'S HOT DOGGING.

How can you people defending Hunter even justify this. You say Turgeon is a hot dogging piece of trash and a showboater, what's your take on Ovechkin then. The bottom line is Hunter threw a cheap shot at the other team's star player who probably hadn't thrown a check all series and put his health at risk.
