Is there a belt ranking system in this form of Silat? It looks as though the instructor is wearing a blackbelt, but I didn't know if that denotes rank in Harimau or not. Also I was wondering what "dan" would you have to attain to garner "Guru" status. I know im asking alot, but I am interested in the art. Thank you very much for your time sir.

Great video, my teacher Guru Besar Jerry was right . Your Silat is awesome . That last technique is really good I used it in my class last night . Very inspiring.

mungkin sbb terlalu bahaya. antare trademark jelas silat ni kt sini ialah menangkap kpale @batang tengkuk spt harimau. sbnanye care bgini sgt merbahaye apatah lg dlm ptempuran sbnar. klu tgk ufc antare penyudah die ialah tang batang leher. silap haribulan mungkin mbawa kmatian...

probably because in early history as developingcountries in southeast Asia they were more exposed to violence and war thus needing to create fighting systems that were adaptable in real world confrontation.
