i am 14 and this is what i think true country is but every one eles my age listen to the new "country " but it is like country and rock mixed to me and i aint afriad to be country there is to many city slickers tese days its sad i was raised by my grandma and grandpa and i like the way the good days sounded

I live in Nashville and work at a club downtown. I will say that none I have seen come close to this type of honesty, but pls folks, the world has CHANGED a bit. There is still some GREAT music coming out, is just that the delivery has changed as the times have....

This could have been a huge hit for Alabama, but Don Williams gives it a great understated authority. Country has to have a feeling of authenticity about it in order to be timeless. The schlock coming out of Nashvile right now is destroying the genre. Too bad, I KNOW that the talent is still there, but demographic studies are killing Music Row. IT'S A "GUT" Business, Y'all.....
