Yes Threeload I agree, but that was at a time the world treated black people differently. The awful thing is that he had to try and look as white as possible!! Crazy, but they were crazy times. Thank goodness it's a different world now in regards to how it treats black people, still not perfect by a long shot though! The King will live on for ever, never tire of listening to his golden voice. Sublime in every sense!

Shame that such a genial talent of Nats magnitude had to wear make-up to look make his dark skin look whiter for early TV appearances like in this clip.
