goodcoldwater - I strongly suspect that you've never cracked a history book in your life. If you had you would know that most of the founding fathers were Deists and the last thing they wanted was for religion of any kind and Catholicism (read Christianity) in particular to have any influence at all in government. You keep your religious ethics and morals inside your church and I'll keep my IRS collectors out of it.

Jesus freaks Founded this Country. The letters for George Washington. are Proof that he had a relationship with Christ. Not to mention that FACT that the Constitution was Founded on Biblical principles. The Original intent of the separation of Church and State was to keep the Government from interfering with peoples religious freedoms. HOWEVER it is a Christians and the Church's responsibility to influence the government with good ethics and morals.
