Ok, Mythbusters tested that, and the action of drinking the Diet Coke nullifies any reaction, I don't know what happened to this guy but I can tell you it was not the Mentos or Diet Coke

Wait, You need mint mentos, That kind he has has a coating on it and doesnt react at all, tested by mythbusters. Had he done mint mentos, I think i would have believed it. Though who knows, Just my thought.
