I liked the remake! I thought Broderick's performance was cute :) but I think that with any remake vs. original debate, I tend to side with the one I watch first because that's usually the one that I fall in love with.

I totally agree! Matthew totally lacked the spark Robert Preston had when he played Harold Hill...he was almost frighteningly stiff.
