There's a cool quote: This kid deserves to be in the same class with Stevie Ray Fucking Vaughan and Jimi Hendrix and Jeff Beck. Ted Nugent on Joe Bonamassa after a VH-1 jam session with him, March 2006.

This is the stage where Hendrix lit his guitar on fire in 1967. During this performance in 2008, Joe paid homage to Hendrix when he first got on stage by running over and jumping on the burned spot and saying "there's nothing more intimidating for a young guitarist than this. On the stage here it says 'Hendrix'. Forty one years ago Jimi broke onto the scene on this stage right here. I just watched the DVD. That is a very tough act to follow." Joe is VERY aware of what he owes to Hendrix.

You think Power of Soul wasn't ripped of of somewhere else? Even the greatest like Jimi 'borrow' from others. After all there are only 12 notes on guitar...

I saw him peform this in Liverpool last night. He ended it with a mind-blowing solo/instrumental which must have lasted almost 10 minutes. It was so long that the band actually left the stage. The crowd went hysterical when he finished it.
