Keanu on Earth Crisis in "DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL"
When "The Day The Earth Stood Still" was released in 1951, the film served as an allegory for nuclear proliferation. But today's remake is a sci-fi thriller about global warming and humanity's treatment of our planet. ScienCentral recently interviewed stars Keanu Reeves and Jennifer Connelly about these issues.http://...
More Environmental Indoctrination and false science. Typical liberal left. When the real facts&science don't line up, go and make a movie about it where you can make them fit in any way you want and indoctrinate a whole generation of young people in the process.

what i think is beyond hilarious is how people think al gore is the greenest human alive. he says hes so green and he does more than anybody. okay well for him to make those speeches he uses jet(s). and those jet(s) to go at the speed he likes almost uses double the amount of gas then a small public air jet. so al gore can take all his talk and shove it up his ass. because he's not doing shit for anyone. hes only concerned about making green, not doing green. fucking liberal.

I thought this was going to be a great movie, but then I heard that they changed the entire premise from the original. In the original the aliens were concerned that we had the capability to spread our wars into space. This version seems to have been written by Al Gore. I have no need to see it now.

Those who look toward the heavens for salvation; alien help, god perhaps, forget it. If you pray for a miracle, ask that it come as a solar flare to knock out all power grids. No power, no repairs, no vehicles, and back to the bronze age we go. No more pollution, no more bankers, no more lawyers. And while you are at it, pray that we still have some seeds left which can actually bare fruit WITH SEEDS. If you buy seedless fruit, youre an idiot, and GM crops will turn us into Dodo Birds.

Paratrooper177 - You are dead right (pun intended). A scene from Red Planet, Mans a party animal, if everything is going okay, nothing else matters, that will never change.I have no confidence in the human psyche, but confidence in natures ability to recover. That is not a pessimistic, it is optimistic. Pro-life, not pro-human.We are an evolutionary stepping-stone. Dinosaurs didnt have the capacity to kill themselves on a global level, but we do, and doing a damn fine job at it.

Humanity: Humans are destructive to the world we live in, they can and will not change unless the world is under attack, or about to end. Honestly, I believe that if we had an attack of aliens from outside our world and they destroyed humanity, it would be good for earth because it would lose it's pollution, it's problems. Or if we had a virus that killed off half of the worlds population it would be good for us because it would make people realize that we need to change quickly.

So glad Keanu chose to be in this movie, can't imagine anyone better for it; and I'm sure if people work together, the right solutions will be found in time.
Paratrooper177(April 28, 2009 at 5:41 am)
Humanity cannot and WILL not gradually move towards a greener solution, people are to greedy and lazy, the end of this movie where all of a sudden traditional means of power are shut down with no idea why is what needs to happen to get people to change.
