I watched the video again after I received your email. I'm a huge King Crimson fan and know that mug anywhere. He isn't in the video; however this is definitely the studio version of the song. So I am guessing the musicians aren't playing their instruments and Bowie's lip synching. Because those are certainly Fripp's amazing guitar riffs heard in the video.

Robert Fripp plays lead guitar on this one. He plays lead on almost every track on Scary Monsters. He also kills it on the first three tracks on Hero's as well. I also have to throw in his solo on Eno's Baby's on Fire from Here Come the Warm Jets while I'm at it. Fripp is fucking ill!!!
