Yes it is the same band that did "spacegrass".Yourmom7878, the type of sticking this drummer exhibits in this song is precisely the technique that distinguishes poor drummers who hit rimshots by error and superb drummers like him who use them to accent. Just my opinion from playing the drums about 20 years.

Hes supposed to hit the side of the tom. He's hitting the rim and the skin at the same time its called a rim shot. It gives the beat a more or a *POP* sound
