Come on! It's a freakin' 4 minute presentation! It's not intended to show the evidence within a formal argument structure. He's simply giving a summary or why he believes the notion of Intelligent Design is flawed. There are plenty of other places, even in Tyson's work, where he does the detail work of making his arguments.This kind of statement gives permission, to all those looking for an excuse not to believe, to be intellectually lazy and dismiss an insightful point of view.

Check out "Privileged Planet" and "Unlocking The Mysteries of Life" for videos- but they are ok but don't get into the super specifics- You will need to read Dembski's No Free Lunch to get a look at the Logic and Math involved or read The Design Revolution (answering the toughest questions about ID)- if you want to understand ID you need to read the stuff- no one criticizes Darwin without reading his Origins. My problem with Tyson here is that "Excuse me!" is not an argument and he knows better.

are there any vids out there worth watching that can reinfoce what your saying? because i have yet to see any solid evidence of ID. what is it about these waves that "scream" ID? it sounds like all those patterns could do is reinfoce the idea that we are a part of the universe which is something that tyson points out to us
