Thanks for your reply. Interesting stuff. Yes I knew about some NLP stuff (I'm reading books about it), but I'm still learning. So do you think Derren won from the bald man because he changed focus from one eye to the other? It seems so simple. Also Derren is really confident in what he does, I think that helps. I want to know what he did to master him, is it just the eyes or more?

The touching is called anchoring. It's a neuro-linguistic technique. I don't' think that anchoring was used much here though, or he would have done it more. The physical sensation (or gesture, or sound) coupled with the existing emotional state will re- trigger that same emotional state every time the anchor (or trigger) is applied. You can also anchor however, with eye movements, by changing focus from one eye to the other. I'm guessing this was a very fast ellman based induction.

Awesome. Yeah, you could see the guy was falling into a trance when Derren was touching him before he said 'Go!'. Can you tell me something about how that works? The touching and stuff. He also touches the second guy on his shoulder before they begin.
