My Fav song of all time! The Lyrics are not pointless they actually have some religious meanings to them. And at the Coldplay concert I went 2 it was awesome! There were MANY types of different people/styles.

Oh this retort 'why would you take time to insult someone' never gets old, tell me does it really amaze you that I'm venting my shared belief? And you think of swearing as 'unintellegent' when it greatly emphasizes my point, but on the subject of point this song has none. I don't understand why a band especially Coldplay would be singing about a time period that doesn't involve them, which by the way wasn't during the French Revolution.

To donohuee:Congratulations on managing to combine perfectly intelligent words with unintelligent swearing. I as truly amazed that you would take the time to go to look up a song that you have little inclination to listen to in order to insult the artists and their fan base. Also, for some one whom knows such intellectual words, you would think that you would make the connection of these lyrics to fallen leaders who were over thrown by their people, like those during the French Revolution.

This band is so fucking shitty and unoriginal with a fan base comprised of the simian minded populous. The song itself gets tiresome and repetitive after listening to it twice, and the lyrics? Barely make sense, just trying to come off as unique and bold but it doesn't.

I'll be the first to say that I really don't like Coldplay that much, much rather listen to Lamb Of God or Metallica....but this isn't that bad...just have to be in the right mood I guess.
