I took Physics 1 at a community college and it was more calculus dependant than this course is.

Engineering. The difference between basics and engineering is that engineering involves use of Integral calculus (Calc 2). If you take Engineering Physics I at a smaller university, Calculus will be used sparingly, but if you take it at MIT (as you will see), it's used often.

does anyone know if this is an engineering level course? Or is this just a basic physics course?
