Philip "The Chicken Man" Testa had been made boss of Philly by the Commission back in 1980. One year later he came home and opened his front door which set off a bomb full of nails. The blast blew off the front door of his house and Testa's body was found smashed against his car. Cous's Little Italy restaurant took the Testaburger off the meny the next day. The hit set off a 15 year mob war in Philadelphia of which the rackets in AC were a big part. And I'm not THE Skinny Joey Merlino.

Just stay off of Pacific and Atlantic Ave at night. or on the boardwalk at night. Oh it's much better today than it was, but it's still no Viva Las Vegas. The hotels are gorgeous, but you just can't walk at night care free...Long Live Jersey and Vegas!!

Even the most anti-Atlantic City person would have to admit that it's a lot better than it was when this video was made, today.

it was the state of new jersey attempting to reinvigorate AC from what you might accurately describe as a 'hooverville' back into what it was in its prime during the 1920s and 30s. instead, they pretty much just got a patchwork of casinos and slums, bounded by a boardwalk.
