I understand that there IS oil there. But 9500 barrels a day(Burma) compared to 2 billion barrels a day (Iraq and/or Iran) of production is not worth it to the US. And thank you for stating the oil info in your comment, as some people may be unaware of it totally.Yes, my concern is for Chris and others who are in harms way.

Hello Proudyke. My heart goes out to you and Chomskyno1, the work is noble and I hope everything tuns out well. I wanted to let you know though that Burma does have oil. China is one of their biggest customers. Though I believe in pressuring our government to take a strong stance, Burma will more likely listen to China. That may be beside the point. Your great concern is for your friend. I do hope everything turns out well.
