Andreas Scholl sings "Flow, my tears" (by John Dowland).Thank you very much for your comments : )* * * * *Flow my teares fall from your springs,Exilde for ever: Let me morneWhere nights black bird hir sad infamy sings,There let me live forlorne.Downe vaine lights shine you no more,No nights are dark enough for thoseThat in dispaire their last fortunes deplore,Light doth but shame disclose.Never may my woes be relieved,Since pittie is fled,And teares, and sighes, and gronesMy wearie days of all joyes have deprived. From the highest spire of contentment,My fortune is throwne,And feare, and griefe, and paineFor my deserts, are my hopes since hope is gone.Hark you shadowes that in dakrnesse dwell,Learn to contemne light,Happy that in hellFeele not the worlds despite.* * * * *

Now that's the nicest timbre to a countertenor voice that I have heard.Lovely!<3

Scholl is probably my favourite countertenor and I think this song is lovely - but typically gloomy for John Dowland! I have posted a version of me singing it - if anyone wants to listen and tell me if you think I am any good at this kind of singing I would appreciate it.
