While I conceed the point that overthrowing the Khemer Rouge improved things, the Soviet sponsored communist Vietnamese didn't act out of humanity. They acted at the behest of their Soviet masters. The Mao regime in Beijing sponsored the Khemer Rouge to counter the American vacuum which aloud a Soviet sponsored to take over Vietnam.

True Communism has never been practiced and will never be due to greed in man. What we call Communism in the west is not what was described by Marx and Engels. The closest thing I can think of communism is a monastic life.

China was "communist" so it had to support another communist faction such as the khmer rouge, although this, Maoism, and the crap put into place by Stalin was not communism in which Marx envisioned.
