HE ISNT SPARRING WITH TRICKS!!!!Forms are always just a performance....who gives a fuck whether it would be the most useful in a fight....even the most traditional forms and slow and have tons of pauses....how practical is that????

Its called tricking.....yes there is no practicality but whats the practicality of wushu or a lot of other martial arts really....Martial arts shouldn't be looked at making you the best fighter anyways...imo.Tricking is sick looking if done right and is hella fun so w/e. Peopl can hate all they want.

exactly.
kageoftheshadow(July 11, 2009 at 3:01 pm)
all you guys talking about practicality. There is none here. This is XMA. All martial arts gymnastics all showmanship all the time. Nothing in XMA has anything to do with fighting. And this is Steve Terrada, one of the best XMA practitioners to ever grace the stage and this wasn't even one of his best forms.

Forms are half the time not practical in competition. A host of judges will grade the fundementals higher than someone who sticks gymnastics in a form. If you want practical watch sparring

thats true its nice and cool looking but that crazy performance is not practical. A Muay Thai fighter will just play around with him. But dont get me wrong, this is a damn good martial artist with crazy flexibility and agility

i wont deny that the man is tallented in theory...however if i was fighting someone, and that someone went into the air, like he did, with like 2 seconds of hang time before the kick,i would probably take one step back knowing he would miss...not saying im a fighter, this guy would kick my ass, im just saying against someone with equal speed and strength, that technique would not work very well...IF it did hit, it would deffinatly put someones lights out though

Haha. I'm pretty sure I won this argument. *never comes back to check your response*
ninjaxander94(July 11, 2009 at 4:14 am)
this is possible but not practical. BUT it does look hella sick. haha
MrSneakyNicky(July 11, 2009 at 12:01 am)
correct.
MrSneakyNicky(July 11, 2009 at 12:01 am)
you are correct, it isnt only a waste of energy its very dangerous because you can see the kicks coming a mile away, you are very venerable when you are in the air like that and if you bugger it up you re gona take alot of damage.

not martial arts - no power whatsoever. just some tense disco dancing.
