Chiron is the centaur who taught many major Greek mythology heros. The song is refering to the strenght in the ties that bind which means that family and numbers help. Chiron was the son of the evil Titan Kronos who chiron decided to destroy and sided with the gods in the war, but the fact that he was Kronos' son gave him more intellect and cunning then the other more primitive centaurs
