go yusef!i've been a big fan of his for yrs...conducting/orchestra reminds of butch morris' work.....very nice texturesi must admit the bass drum was very annoying..much too much in the way...i'm sure it had to do w/ the way the show was recorded

adam rudolph is to be highly commended for his innovative approach to composition/conducting/performance. no one has utilized sound in this fashion before. additionally, his ensemble is graced with the gifts of yusef lateef, benny maupin and other fine musicians. it is refreshing to hear an explorative journey into sound textures that encourages the performers to be creative within and beyond the flexible established frameworks.
