Somali pirates operating off the Horn of Africa (East African waters) have accelerated their piracy in recent months. The pirates (no, not Sea Shepherd, but real pirates) have been commandeering merchant ships on the high seas (Gulf of Aden and Indian Ocean). The Western nations of Europe, NATO, and the USA have naval ships in the area just watching. The politicians of those nations are trying to determine a course of action hampered by self-imposed rules, law of the sea, international law and treaties. While they were scratching their heads, the pirates continued their dastardly acts.Then out of the ocean blue came the Navy of India who sunk a mother ship of these pirates. Right down to Davy Jones locker went this pirate ship. This video is a salute to the Indian Navy, a navy of action for taking care of business, while the navies of the Western powers have been neutered by their respective politicians.

The terrorists infiltrated Mumbai by sea, and where was the Indian navy and at least its coastal defense branch? If the terrorists had air dropped into Mumbai, I'd be blaming the air force. How is my assessment weak?

Guess what? Indians were idiots... They sailed all that way to blow up a trawler, but they failed to protect their own home waters. While the Indian navy was making itself butt of jokes off Somalia, terrorists infiltrated Mumbai by SEA and laid waste to that city. Isn't protecting the coastlines and home waters the most basic task of any navy? Well, where was the Indian navy when India needed it the most?

Somalis shoot down Antonov in 2005 over Mogadishu. Some how, they were informed the Antanov was carrying weapons for opposition groups.Intelligence gathering works for Somali militia.

Nope, the Japanese navy is definitely the strongest in Asia, followed by China... China may soon surpass Japan though. Indian navy? Indian navy was busy sinking Thai trawlers in Somalia but failed to protect Mumbai from terrorist infiltration from the sea. India couldn't eve win a naval engagement against Singapore, if it ever comes to it.
