please!!!!! enufffffff about susan boyle!!!! this song has been sung by so many other noteworthy vocalists in its life !!!! This rendition was superb. Its a very gut-wrenching song. If one is not careful, it can be oversong and the voice spent half way through!!! She did an excellent job.

Boyle smiled during the damn song. You don't smile in this. It's not a smile song. Hell, it's not a smile musical for that matter.

Everyone is saying that she sings more the Susan Boyle Because she actually does, doesn't matter if she is trained or not, she sings better than Susan Boyle. Period.Oh, Susan Boyle smiles in some moments while she was singing this song, this is not a happy song, never. If you look at the singer face when she is singing you would feel it.

all you saying this singer is better than Boyle.. no shit!! she's a professional singer who's taken lessons since she was a kid.. whereas Boyle is completely self trained and taught! no shit this singer is going to sound more "professional.." Ill take Boyle's version over this one any day tho, it had way more raw emotion.. I have a feeling Boyle can actually relate to the words of this song.. whereas this singer is just saying the words, but is a world away from ever having experienced them...

I've heard so many different performers sing this song, and Ruthie Henshall is still my favorite, with Patti Lupone a close second. Both artists have lived the character. Ruthie has an amazing vocal range, and she conveys so well the full spectrum of emotions in the song: hope, disappointment, and pain. This is definitely the most powerful recording of an incredibly poignant song.
