You sound like the kind of person who thinks HAARP is also a good idea. And you seem to be saying that people are less important than the science of ripping holes in the fabric of the universe. I disagree. Splitting the atom was not enough bang for you science types, now you want to split the very core of it just so see what happens?Just because we can build Frankenstein does not mean we should. So now we wait to see, I still think the $ would have been better spent feeding the hungry.
boxingisbest(June 21, 2009 at 8:35 pm)
and since those people now are dead there are some less left to feed!
boxingisbest(June 21, 2009 at 8:34 pm)
great now prove its impossible... thats right it wont be proven until they start crashing stuff for all we know it might create particals that has never been on earth before so theres alot more than black holes that can be created

@JedibilIf the world would spend only 10% of all the hundreds of billions of Dollars and Euros used to safe all the Banks and car manufactors, into projects like LHC or ITER, we would already live in a world without energy problems...So sad most people only see the cost of science without thinking a bit further...But these are the people who love their TV, mobile Phone, electricity etc.Think about it , all you stupid people out there!
niiidar(June 21, 2009 at 12:36 am)
Yeah, but people are stupid, and doesn't know what they are talking about.Nothing will go wrong with this thing, and creating a black hole that will destroy the planet is impossible.
niiidar(June 21, 2009 at 12:34 am)
They don't know what they will find. But certain things are unplausible. It's like saying "we shouldn't explore the sea, because we don't know what we will find".
acidangelster(June 17, 2009 at 11:14 am)
I just want to know one thing. The team working on this know what they re doing but they dont know what to expect right? So this means they cartainly wont be prepared for any anomalies or "accidents" or "side effects"????
theorganichispanic(June 15, 2009 at 4:31 pm)
Can someone who is familiar with particile physics please explain to me what this means? I am very interested!!!!
ArmiesInSleevies(June 14, 2009 at 3:58 am)
wait a minute is this the thing that people say that if it goes screwy, then it will make a black hole and destroy merverything?
jedibill111(June 11, 2009 at 3:40 am)
10 billion to build it, God only knows how much to run it, and the only tangible thing we will have learned when it is all over is that the people we could of fed with that money are all long dead from starvation.Go Science!
