not a race - but the Jews are an ethnic-cultural group that shares a common religion. Conversion is possible, but Judaism is not missionary - and therefore the same ethnic group, originated in the Middle East, preserved its own unique religion. Of course its not likely that ALL Jews today are the descendants of the biblical nation, but genetic studies revealed strong relations between Jews from all over the world
