Mordechai Kedar in al-Jazeera about Jerusalem&Islam
mkedar@mail.biu.ac.il Dr. Mordechai Kedar of Bar-Ilan University defends the Jewishness of Jerusalem, the Jewish capital for over 3000 years. He also defends the right of Israelis to settle in Judea and Samaria, the West Bank.Gil Ronen"We were here when your forefathers were drinking wine, burying their daughters alive and worshipping idols" -- this was just one of Bar Ilan University political scientist Dr. Mordechai Kedar's ripostes to questions by an Al Jazeera interviewer two weeks ago, in an interview that has received rave reviews from Israel-lovers the world over for its forcefulness. "They did not expect me to take the discussion to history and especially not to religion," Kedar told Israel National News. But discuss religion he did in the above video, reminding his interviewer that Jerusalem was not mentioned even once in the Koran and saying directly in fluent Arabic that "Jerusalem is not on the negotiating table," and that "Jerusalem belongs to the Jews, period.""This was very aggravating" for the Al-Jazeera interviewer, Kedar explained, "because in the Islamic view, Islam came into the world to replace Judaism and Christianity, not to live side by side with them. And here, all of a sudden, the Jews are coming from exile and building their state again and G-d forbid they also regained Jerusalem." Judaism is thus regaining its meaning, and Islam is challenged by this, the Bar-Ilan professor explained. "The mere existence of the State of Israel and the fact that we are in Jerusalem is some kind of challenge to the legitimacy of Islam in their eyes," Kedar explained."This is not pro-Israel public relations," Dr. Kedar told Israel National News. "This is a battle for the Arab heart, which Israel is apparently losing because Israel gave up on the main tool which should have served it, which is an independent Israeli Zionist satellite channel in Arabic." Many Arabs, he said, would consider changing their views if such a channel were available.
There is already a Palestinian land it is called Jordan! And the only reason there is any problem is because the Arab nations will not allow the Palestinians to live in and become citizens in their countries because they want to use the Palistinians against Israel.

Most of the world knows that Israel is the powerful and well armed occupier that uses the U.S. veto to its full advantage to punish Palestinians for every act of terrorism and in the name of security. Many countries see Israel-Palestine through the history of colonialism.

Everyone in the whole world outside the U.S. and Europe know what Israel is doing in occupied West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem is illegal regardless of what the Bible or Torah says. The U.S. and EU are not the only ones who pay attention Israel&palestine the rest of the world does too and people are angry with Israel for good reason all settlements are illegal and violate International Law. Its not just Arab countries who are saying it, African and Latin American countries have said it too.

Go read an history book, Jordan comes from the British mandate of Palestine and was to be the home of the "palestinians"Much of the Arabs that fled Palestine was for fear that their leaders told them to leave because Jews were massacring them witch wasn't true.Palestine in the 1800s was a desolate, don't came with shit saying you had a country because you hadn't.Btw talking about refugees what about the almost 1 million Jews that were forced to leave Arab/muslim countries?
muimrm(June 17, 2009 at 3:35 pm)
Go read a geography book, and lets say Jordan is Palestine,no lets say Pakistan is Palestine. The name isn't the problem, the problem is that you kicked people out of this land and now you're continuing to slowly kick them out by oppression. We Palis don't care about the name,we care about our homes. We live there,we don't come from Jordan,Before 1948,Jordan was a desert with a few bedouin tribes it didn't even have a university ,while Palestine had universities, theaters, etc from the 1800s.

Around 0.6, 0.7 in Gaza, 1.4 in Judea and Samaria (West Bank). Before Israel was a state there was 0.14 people living there, just so see that the "palestinians" are no less then arab that come from the neighbourhood zones/countries.BTW Jordan = Palestine, you don't need more arab states.
