this was my dad. he never could come to my soccer games, never to my AWANA events, never for nothing. he was never home, always out in the fields, spreading fertilzer and pesticides and insecticides for the farmers, being a manager of a facility, workin 100 hr weeks in harvest and planting but still only getting salary pay of sh*t. almost caused mom and dad to divorce. before my first year of college dad couldnt sleep cuz he wished he could have done better, so hed be up crying and talkin to me

How could this be your least favorite song by him? This song hits a nerve with every man I know who has to leave town to make a living for his family.

This song is so sappy and manipulative...and still gets to me. Damn you, Jamey Johnson!

I love this song. It's so sweet. When I was little, I always wanted my dad to spend time with me and never did. This song reminds me of that.
