That day there were 67 tornadoes in South Dakota including this half mile wide F4 that completely destroyed a small town. The reason it's sunny is because tornadoes usually form at the rear edge of a thunderstorm. The guy talking is Reed Timmer, who has been chasing tornadoes since 1999.
