I know, I love Elphaba just as much as anyone, but Maureen was a pretty great character too. In my opinion it was a harder part to play!!! BUt either way, she is the best actress on the planet!!!

I know I have to agree...to be honnest I had never heard of RENT until after Wicked. Hehe but now that I have watched it *DVD* I can truely see how Amazing Idina is! I just wish she would come back to England again so that I can see her this time! ^^

Idina is just phenomenal!! She has the ability to touch people's hearts with her lyrics and her voice. So it doesn't matter whether she is the best singer or the worst. The fact that she can speak to people through her songs says a lot.

Got her break from Wicked? Is that a serious statement? Look Wicked is fabulous, I love the book and the show and I love Idina as Elphaba (particularly with Kristen Cheonwith playing opposite) but does no one remember RENT? You know, one of the longest running Broadway shows ever, that Idina was original cast for as one of the greatest characters ever? I fell in love with her as Maureen as part of my coming of age!!
