Comparing nirvana to the great Pixies is just unfair, especially on the comments section of such a masterpiece as Hey. Of course kurt cobain like any other prominent musical figure of the 90's was influenced by The Pixies. But really... sit down and listen to the lyrical quality and the voices, the power of the bass, the immense might of joey santiago's guitar... In my opinion, Nirvana is ok. Not great.

kurt cobain was a legend nirvana was his heart and the lyrics was his pain nothing can compare to what he placed in his music thats what makes him great not because of a style!

that's one of those cases that the aprenticce become better than the master :)truth is, Nirvana is my all time favorite band, but no one of his records is as good as Surfer Rosa.kurt did copy a lot of Pixies. So what? Millions do the same, but only him don't suck doing it.
