For my 300th post on this channel, here's the classic skit from 1975 where Grover (Frank Oz) demonstrates the difference between near and far. This is one of those segments that people always seem to remember clearly, regardless of how many years ago they last saw it.
dude...its geared towards preschoolers repetition is key for them plus its funny

I loved it when I was a kid, I looked for it when I was a teenager, I remembered it with my college classmates, and now my little boy loves it too! How cool can it be?

The reason this sketch is funny is because of Grover's flailing about as he gets more and more worn out trying to make sure the kids at home get it. If Grover just demonstrated near and far one time and then the sketch ended, this wouldn't be an all-time classic that people remember for years and years.
